Super fine and all original Gibson oval hole. All original parts are in excellent working order. Tuning gears work perfectly.
We have this vintage Gibson on consignment. Up until a few years ago, when our client purchased it, this mandolin had been in the same family since it was purchased new in 1918.
Specs:
Antique red burst top, Birch back and sides, Mahogany neck. Single bound body and fretboard, flat Ebony fretboard and Ebony bridge.
Extra fine vintage condition. Top shows some wear, pick marks, scratches and a scuff or two. Appears to have an armrest footprint in the finish, top and back. Back has an area of button rash. Tortoise pickguard is in fantastic shape. Frets show some wear, but on the light side.
Includes the original case, which is also in fine condition. Handle has been replaced.
