Fantastic Flatty!!!
Price: $2999.95 **SOLD**
Excellent twenty-two year old Flatiron, made in Nashville alongside the Gibson F-5G. Same look, same sound. Terrific cosmetic condition. Strong mandolin.
Sitka Spruce top, nicely figured Maple back/sides/neck in a cremona burst gloss lacquer finish. Single ply top binding, flat Ebony fretboard with 1-1/16″ nut width, Ebony adjustable bridge, parallel tone bars, Fleur-de-lis headstock inlay and Schaller tuning machines.
Warm, dry and woody tones. Classic sound. Excellent volume combined with a strong bluegrass chop.
Excellent condition showing basically light playwear. Has a couple dings and superficial playwear on the soundboard and back. Some string scratches on the front of the headstock and a pair of small impression marks on the back, likely from a clip-on tuner. Very light fretwear.
This mandolin has large fretwire, unlike the F-5G.
Includes a shaped TKL case. Trades gladly considered on this fine American made instrument.
