Adirondack Spruce top, highly figured Maple one piece back, Maple sides and neck in a dark sunburst varnished finish, 3-ply bindings top, back and headstock, single ply fretboard, radius Ebony fretboard, 1-1/8″ bone nut, abbreviated Ebony pick guard, parallel tone bars, and an elegant Mother-of-Pearl headstock inlay. Silver hardware includes engraved James tailpiece and Waverly tuning gears with pearl buttons.
Heavenly sound. Deep, woody tone and superbly balanced. Rich. Complex overtones. Chunky bluegrass chop. Excellent volume and sustain.
Near mint condition, showing only a minor impression scratch on the lower point a tiny scratch on back of the headstock and an armrest shadow. Otherwise mint. Frets are nearly perfect.
