Hoss!
Price:$3499.95 **SOLD**
I love mandolins built by former Gibson builder, Sim Daley. I think that perhaps the strongest mandolin I’ve had since our website started in 2008 was a Daley Vintage F-5. That mandolin was simply the best. This example, label signed on April 13, 2009 is not quite in the same class, but it ain’t far off the mark. If you like classic bluegrass tone, I don’t believe you’ll find a better sounding mandolin in it’s price point. An absolute hoss.
Specs:
Adirondack Spruce top, Maple back/sides/neck in a dark cremona burst varnish (I think) finish, single ply binding on the top, flat Ebony fretboard, 1-1/16″ nut width, parallel tone bars, nickel hardware includes; traditional James tailpiece and Schaller tuning gears.
