Italian Spruce cream top, highly figured Eastern Maple back/sides/neck in a handsome merlot gloss lacquer finish w/ 3-ply tortoise bindings throughout, radius Ebony fretboard, 1-3/16″ nut width, parallel tone bar bracing, Collings vine headstock inlay and nickel hardware includes Gotoh tuning machines with Ebony buttons, and Collings tailpiece. Also includes an armrest which currently resides inside the case.
Fine sounding mandolin featuring the deep, woody, modern Collings sound with plus volume and sustain. Sweet highs. Strong chop. Will not disappoint.
Excellent to Excellent-plus condition. Has a ding on top, a few superficial finish scratches on the back and a series of blemishes of some sort on the back of the neck, which can be barely felt. Has noticeable fretwear. Probably will need a dressing in the next year or two.
