Strong Mandolin!
Price: $1999.95 ***SOLD***
Our first Skipper mandolin and it’s impressive. Outstanding value here. This is a well built mandolin, good fit and finish and appointments. Nothing flashy. Sounds incredible. Powerful and robust. A Hoss.
Specs:
Adirondack Spruce top, figured Maple back/sides/neck in a cremona burst gloss lacquer finish, single Ivoroid binding throughout, radius Ebony fretboard with (appears to be) gold EVO frets, 1-1/8″ nut width, tone bars, traditional tailpiece (cover is MIA) and vintage Golden Age tuning gears.
Big sound. Dry, warm and robust. Responsive and powerful. Very loud. Chunky chop. Very focused sound.
Excellent condition, but does have some small pings superficial scratches on top. Headstock has some string scratches. Finish is cloudy where arm rests, but a good polish should remove that.
Offered with a basic hard shell case.
Trades gladly considered on this fine American made instrument.
