Exceptional eight year Collings f-style, s/n 1994, in very clean condition. This fine example features top shelf woods, excellent appointments and an exceptional voice.
Adirondack Spruce top, highly figured Maple back/sides/neck in a traditional sunburst gloss lacquer finish w/ 3-ply bindings throughout, radius Ebony fretboard, 1-1/8″ nut width, tone bar bracing, full contact Ebony bridge and nickel hardware includes Gotoh tuning machines and cast Collings tailpiece.
Exceptional sounding mandolin. Big and bold. Deep, dark and woody tones, excellent volume and sustain and a big bluegrass chop.
Excellent-plus condition, showing only light playwear. Light pick marks around the lower f-hole and a tiny blemish at the same f-hole. Back has some superficial scratches and a very light scuff in the finish. Recent fret dress and setup.
