Handmade Bargain!!!

An absolute bargain, yes. Solid woods and handmade instrument built by David Hanson in west Georgia. Nicely made, good fit and finish and appointments. Excellent voice and super clean also.
2018 Cripple Creek Mandola Specs:
Solid Sitka top, highly figured Maple back/sides/neck, satin Blonde finish, not sure what the bindings are, possibly Rosewood. Flat Rosewood fretboard, 1-1/4″ nut width and 16-1/2″ scale length. Top is slightly arched. Has a side port. Handmade cast tailpiece. Reverse tuning gears.
As mentioned, this mandola is super clean. I can’t find any play wear or blemishes. No fretwear.
Includes OHSC, but it’s a mandolin case and it’s a fairly snug fit, particularly at the headstock.
We love the sound. Remarkable clarity and precise note definition, and so, so dry. Sweet and tender when you play it lightly, but plenty of pop when you get aggressive. Fabulous setup, plays well up and down the neck. Percussive chop. Beyond Beast sound.
Excellent overall condition, with playwear relative to age. It was offered to us as having “very little playwear”, but that is definitely inaccurate and quite understated. The top has wear into the wood around the treble f-hole, as shown in photos, and shows a sufficient number of dings and scratched below the fretboard and other small mic dings and pings throughout the top. One other scratch of note near the tailpiece is around an inch in length. Back has relatively clean with just a few tiny dings. Headstock has some string scratches. Frets are in fine shape with almost no wear.
Offered with original shaped hardshell case. Trades gladly considered on this fine American made instrument.
