Like new Pava F-5, s/n 453, built by Pava Knezevic in the Ellis shop in Austin, featuring; one piece birds eye back, excellent appointments, combined with a delightful voice and impeccable fit and finish. Too me, these Pava mandolins are every bit as good as an Ellis.
Specs:
Adirondack Spruce top, Red Maple one piece back, Maple sides and neck in a cremona sunburst satin lacquer finish, single ply bound top, radiused Ebony fretboard, 1-1/8″ nut width, parallel tone bars, James tailpiece and Gotoh tuning gears with Ivoroid buttons. Abbreviated Ebony pickguard. Lovely Mother-of-Pearl headstock inlay.
Heavenly sound. Deep, woody tone and nicely balanced. Rich. Chunky chop. Outstanding volume and sustain.
Mint condition. As clean as the day it left the Austin shop. May well be the prettiest satin finish mandolin we’ve had.
Includes a shaped Superior case. Trades gladly considered on this fine American made mandolin.
