Monteleone Style!
Price: $4999.95 **SOLD**
Magnificent M-style mandolin, a custom build, s/n 93. This fine example was handcrafted for a gentlemen that recently witnessed Skip playing one of his Redwood topped mandolins (my Kelley F-5 is Redwood) and he decided that he’d prefer to sell this one in favor of a Redwood Kelley. This gem feature’s black Mother-of-Pearl block fretboard inlays, a Monteleone body style, hybrid bracing and one piece back, combined with a terrific voice.
Adirondack top, highly figured Sugar Maple back/sides/neck in cremona hand rubbed varnish finish with 3-ply bound body and headstock and single-ply fretboard binding. Flat Ebony fretboard with block inlays, 1-1/8″ nut width and gold EVO frets. Gold hardware includes Gotoh tuning gears and Allen style tailpiece. Hybrid X-bracing/Parallel tone bars.
Love the sound. Exceptional. Here’s a link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JnfH7wabotY
Mint condition. Skip removed the finish from the back of neck. Re-stained, but left is slick, for fast play.
Includes a Weber style (no name on the outside) hard shell case. Trades gladly considered on this fine American made instrument.
