Remarkable Pava F-5, s/n 193, built by Pava Knezevic in the Ellis shop in Austin, featuring; top shelf woods, excellent appointments, combined with a delightful voice. Too me, these Pava mandolins are every bit as good as an Ellis. Even look the same.
Specs:
Adirondack Spruce top, highly figured Maple one piece back, Maple sides and neck in a cremona sunburst gloss lacquer finish, 3-ply bound body, single-ply fretboard and headstock, radiused Ebony fretboard, 1-1/8″ nut width, parallel tone bars, engraved James tailpiece and Gotoh tuning gears with black buttons. Abbreviated Ebony pickguard. Elegant Mother-of-Pearl headstock inlay.
Heavenly sound. Deep, woody tone and superbly balanced. Rich. Chunky chop. Outstanding volume and sustain.
Excellent-plus, showing a few small dings and scratches on the soundboard. Has a few string scratches on the headstock. Very minor fretwear, nearly none. Speed neck.
Includes Travelite style case. Trades gladly considered on this fine American made mandolin.
