Heavenly sound. Deep, woody tone and superbly balanced. Rich. Chunky chop. Tom Ellis may be the architect of the “modern mandolin tone” and this one is a perfect example.
Excellent-plus mint condition, showing some tiny dings, particularly around the treble f-hole, a few superficial pick marks and some fret wear. Slight armrest footprint in the finish. Impeccable fit and finish. James tailpiece has been polished to a high gloss. Speed neck.
Includes Guardian f-style case. Case compartment cover is loose. Trades gladly considered on this fine American made mandolin.
