Beasty!!!
Price: $3849.95 **SOLD**
We’ve had this one before, sold to an N.C. fella. He’s moving up to a higher end Gibson, so we’ve got this fine example back. It’s an exceptional Gibson, rich classic tone. It was a special build, apparently, with the original owners name handwritten on one of the labels; “Built for…..”. Same label signed by David Harvey, Feb 7, 2014.
Specs:
Sitka Spruce top, figured Maple back/sides/neck in a dark burst gloss lacquer varnish finish. Single ply top binding, flat Rosewood fretboard, Rosewood adjustable bridge, parallel tone bars, 1-1/16″ nut width, inlay and Gibson Grover tuning machines. Frets recently replaced with larger fret wire.
Classic Gibson tone. Warm, dry and very nicely balanced. Excellent sustain and a strong bluegrass chop. Loud mandolin. Sounds much richer than it’s price tag.
Excellent condition showing basically light playwear. Has a couple pings on the top, scars on the edge of lower point, light finish scratches on top, mainly below the fretboard. Headstock shows string scratches and scuffs along with blemishes from a clip-on tuner.
Inlcudes a gold tweed Canadian case. Trades gladly considered on this fine American made instrument.
