This special instrument was Dave’s personal mandolin for a couple years and placed 2nd in a “mandolin consumers survey” at he CMSA Convention in Louisville in 2006. Another Cohen edged it out for 1st Place. Sale includes a letter of provenance detailing the aforementioned.

Adirondack Spruce top, figured Maple back/sides/neck in a merlot burst varnished finish, 3-ply Maple bindings throughout, radiused Ebony fretboard, 1-1/8″ nut width, X-bracing, Cohen made abbreviated Ebony pick guard, Ebony bridge and tailpiece. Schaller tuning gears.
An absolutely vibrant and extraordinary sounding instrument that will easily adapt to any setting. Clear, precise notes, woody and resonant. Dynamic. Reminiscent of a Monteleone Grand Artist we once had. Excellent chop and volume. This one has it all.
Excellent-plus to near mint condition. Just a few very light finish blemishes on the top, string scratches on the headstock and a ding on the back of the headstock. Light to moderate fretwear. Recently had nut replaced. Original is included.
Includes TKL f-style case with multiple case stickers and one old piece of masking tape that says; “My C#”. Trades gladly considered on this fine American made mandolin.
