Remarkable Rigel rarity, s/n 2357, featuring a stunning cream top, excellent appointments including an onboard Piezo pickup, and a rich voice.
Adirondack Spruce top, highly figured Vermont Rock Maple back/sides/neck in a gloss lacquer finish. Radius Ebony fretboard, 1-9/32″ nut width and Abalone position dot. Gold hardware includes cast Rigel tailpiece and Grover tuning gears. Original abbreviated tortoise style pickguard included, but not currently installed.
Classic oval hole sound. warm, woody tone and richly balanced. Excellent depth and concise highs. Fine sounding oval and a perfect choice for jazz.
Near mint condition, with only the slightest signa of playwear. As close to mint a you can get without being new. Showroom clean.
Includes original oblong tweed case. Has a couple light stains in the tweed fabric. Trades gladly considered on this fine American made mandolin.
